Whangaparoa It Is!!!

In anticipation of the nor westerly wind(8 – 10 knots, gusting 18) forecasted for this afternoon we are running with our Whangaparoa Course, which will start at Shakespear Park at 1500. We will put a turning buoy on the northern side of the Stillwater marina entrance so paddlers will hopefully be sheltered from the west in the breeze as the paddle back to Mairangi Bay.

Obviously the logistics of this course are a little more challenging so if people do have space in their car for extra paddlers, we can put their ski on the trailer then please text or phone Katie on 021 932 116. We are hoping that we can make it so no one need to run the shuttle back up the coast to collect a ski after the race.

The 8km novice course will start at Mairangi Bay at 1600 and involve a paddle around the Browns Bay reef.

Registration opens at 12noon at Mairangi Bay.

See you all soon.
